The Amtrak station in Bingen-White Salmon consists of a platform and shelter adjacent to a structure built in 1992 to house BNSF maintenance-of-way crews. Although the station bears the name of both communities, it is actually located in Bingen; White Salmon is about a mile away on a bluff overlooking the Columbia River.

Shortly after 1930, the Spokane, Portland and Seattle Railroad (SP&S) renamed the station Bingen-White Salmon, and Amtrak continues to use that designation. Today, both communities are separately incorporated, but work jointly for services and utilities.

Amtrak does not provide ticketing nor baggage services at this facility, which is served by two daily trains.
