The Amtrak station in Wishram consists of a concrete platform with passenger shelter adjacent to a modern, pre-fabricated building that contains BNSF offices. Although Wishram is one of the smallest communities served by Amtrak, it is an important gateway to the scenic and recreational opportunities offered by the Columbia River.

In April 2024, Amtrak completed a $2 million upgrade project at the Wishram station to provide customers with a more accessible and comfortable experience. Work included creation of two accessible parking spaces and a ramp to connect to the existing platform. Other improvements included replacement of the detectable warning tactile surface along the platform edge that assists passengers with vision disabilities, upgrades to the waiting room entrance and the addition of a platform shelter. Due largely to Congressional investments, the improvements are part of Amtrak’s commitment to creating safer, accessible facilities across its National Network through its Americans With Disabilities Act Stations Program.
