History
The Everett intermodal facility opened in February, 2002, and a vast array of transportation choices are provided. In 2003, the station became the northernmost stop for Sound Transit's commuter rail.
The building has transportation services on the lower level and offices, a career development center, two university centers and various transportation agencies on the upper levels.
This facility has a waiting room and is staffed by an Amtrak employee.
Six daily Amtrak trains serve Everett, including the Empire Builder between Chicago and Seattle/Portland and the Eugene-Portland-Seattle-Vancouver Amtrak Cascades. The Amtrak Cascades are primarily financed through funds made available by the Washington State Department of Transportation and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
