STATION UPDATE, PONTIAC, MICH. – On Monday, August 8, 2011 the Michigan Department of Transportation held a grand opening ceremony for the new Pontiac Transportation Center which will serve both passenger rail and intercity bus passengers. The $1.4 million dollar project broke ground in June 2010 and was funded entirely with State of Michigan Comprehensive Transportation funds. The new station will act as a mass transit hub including the six daily Amtrak Wolverine Service trains and intercity bus passenger service provided by Greyhound.
