Minot Station Reopens
Service Returns to Minot After Five Months
Minot, N.D. - On Tuesday, November 15, Amtrak service returned to Minot's recently renovated station.
After a major renovation completed in December 2010, the station was damaged by Souris River floodwaters that surged throughout the city in June. Passenger service halted at the station during repairs, and passengers had to use the Stanley, Rugby, or Williston stations. Minot's station reopened Tuesday after $200,000 in repairs—and more are needed to return the facility to its state prior to the flood.
