New Platform for Essex, Mont.

ESSEX, MONT. – A platform was recently completed at the Amtrak stop in Essex at a cost of $416,150. FY10 capital funds were used. The project included:

• concrete platform, 12' wide by 190' long
• railing, passenger/vehicle loading ramp
• platform lighting
• hydronic snow melting system
• space provision for a wheel-chair lift enclosure
• signage

The Essex stop primarily serves the Isaak Walton Inn, a major recreational destination.
