The Philadelphia 30th Street Station District Plan, unveiled in June 2016, envisions 40 new acres of open space and 18 million square feet of new development around the station, which is shown at center left.

WASHINGTON – The Federal Transit Administration has launched an online hub for information and ideas that will help users develop outstanding transit-oriented development (TOD) projects. The new website includes a database of leading TOD research, information about funding and financing options for TOD projects, and opportunities for TOD professionals to connect with one another. The resources can be specifically sorted out to highlight intercity rail stations.
