Portage is Wisconsin's third oldest settlement, recently celebrating its 152nd anniversary.

This unstaffed facility is an enclosed shelter located at the west end of the platform. It is heated in the winter, but no air conditioning is provided to passengers.

Amtrak does not provide ticketing or baggage services at this station.
